Good-bye, Daddy

Tonight we said good-bye to Daddy.

Tonight we start our count-down to his return, which will (hopefully) be no greater than 13 months from now.

Tonight our new "normal" begins.




We tried to stop him. Oh, yes, we put up a fight.

By occupying his luggage.

By laying on his Under Armor.
By shooting lasers out of our eyes.

But, he has a job to do, and he's very good at it. We love you, Papa!

    You're such a trooper, Alexis. Just know that if you ever go stir crazy and decide you need a road trip (I know it might be a stretch with 2 little ones), our door is always open.
